2007-W PR70 ANACS DCAM First Spouse Gold Dolley Madison (#20-2007-DA114)

The First Spouse Gold Coin program was established as part of a provision of the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005 in order to honor our Nation's first spouses.

Minted in 2007, the Dolley Madison First Spouse $10 Gold coin was the fourth in this series of commemorative coins. The coin's obverse was designed and sculpted by Don Everhart and features a stunningly detailed portrait of the First Lady.

The reverse was designed by Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by the acclaimed engraver Don Everhart. It depicts Dolley Madison during her most famous act as First Lady when she saved valuable Cabinet papers and the renowned Gilbert Stuart portrait of George Washington prior to the White House being burned by British Troops in 1814.  Thanks to Dolley Madison, that same portrait still hangs in the White House today.

Flawless, proof versions of these exquisite, $10 gold coins were minted in 1/2 ounce of 99.99% pure gold using specially prepared dies that give the coins an immediately recognizable mirror-like finish. These eye-catching coins are sure to become fast favorites of yours to own... and to proudly display. Avoid disappointment and order yours today!
